Reading with Meaning has many parallels to the WOW framework. Reader's Workshop allows the teacher to build rigor into each lesson and differentiate instruction. The children are engaged and eager to share ideas through turn and talk; affiliation and affirmation can be experienced through turn and talk. Each lesson that is taught is based on the GPS; having a WALT and WILF insures that the children have a clear focus and an understanding of what they are to do. As I build lessons for Reader's Workshop I have found it so easy to check off the WOW components.

Reader's Workshop has found a home in my classroom. I am so excited to see the children engaged and excited about their work. They are eager to share their ideas during crafting time. Our vocabulary chart is in use every day. Composing meaning time finds most of the children engaged in completing their projects or graphic organizers. Linda Mc
